UNISIGN · UNPRINTED MATERIAL ROLLS
Banner Materials for Stadiums and Sports Venues
UNISIGN supplies unprinted mesh, frontlit, blockout and polyester rolls to wide-format printers, sign makers and media distributors.
Use this page to select roll media for sports fences, railings, sponsor panels, concourses, indoor hanging banners and event flags. Finished printing, venue hardware and installation are not products on this page.

Which Banner Material Fits Each Sports Venue Area?
Use printable mesh on open perimeter fences and railings. Use matte frontlit PVC on solid, sheltered, one-face sponsor panels. Use blockout media for graphics viewed from two sides. Use printable polyester for indoor hanging graphics and flags.
| Venue area | Start with | Reason | Approval test |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outdoor perimeter fence | PVC mesh with liner | Open print surface plus stable printer transport | Feed, image, finished edge and attachment sample |
| Open railing | Printable mesh | Open media keeps the railing treatment lighter than solid PVC | Full-size print and one finished railing panel |
| Sheltered solid barrier or wall | Matte frontlit PVC | Solid white face for close-view sponsor graphics | Colour, glare, scratch and edge test |
| Two-sided stand or concourse banner | Double-sided blockout | Separate artwork on two print faces | Opacity, registration and hanging balance |
| Indoor hanging graphic | Polyester blockout fabric | Lightweight roll media with two printable faces | Opacity, shrinkage, crease and hanging test |
| Event flag | Sublimation flag fabric | Low-weight polyester for moving graphics | Print-through, edge and movement test |
| PVC-free open graphic | PVC-free polyester mesh | Open construction for a PVC-exclusion specification | UV print, seam and end-of-life route |
Mesh does not certify a fence, railing or fixing system. The venue engineer defines wind action, panel limits, fixing spacing and support capacity. The installer controls the site work.
Start With the Mounting Location
Open fence or railing
Choose mesh. Record each fence bay, gate, corner and sponsor-panel break. Keep key artwork away from posts, hems and attachment zones.
Solid wall or barrier
Choose matte frontlit for a one-face graphic. Choose blockout for two faces or when the background must not show through.
Indoor hanging position
Choose polyester blockout for two printed faces. Match the exact material code to the fire document named by the venue.
Three Material Formats Are Not the Same
| Term | What it is | What the buyer orders |
|---|---|---|
| Printable mesh banner roll | Open PVC-coated or PVC-free media made for wide-format printing | Unprinted roll, model code, width, length, liner and ink route |
| Finished sports fence banner | Printed, cut and finished graphic ready for a defined fence section | Artwork, finished size, hems, eyelets and installation details |
| Privacy windscreen | Fence-screen product designed around screening, shade or facility use | Finished screen specification and support-system approval |
UNISIGN supplies the first item: unprinted printable roll media. Use the construction fence mesh guide for fence-specific selection and the building wrap mesh guide for façade-scale panels.

See Each Material in Its Working Context

Open fence
Use bold sponsor artwork. Keep names and logos away from posts, hems and fixing zones.

Stadium sponsor graphics
Use matte frontlit when viewers face one printed side on a solid or sheltered support.

Indoor venue graphic
Use blockout for two faces. Match the exact model to the venue’s named fire document.
Approve Print Quality With One Production Test
Sports graphics contain team colours, sponsor marks, player images, numbers and legal copy. Build one test file with the real production artwork.
Put these 8 elements in the file
- Main team colours
- Sponsor colours
- Neutral grey
- Solid black
- Skin tone
- Smallest required text
- Thin light and dark lines
- Panel join marks
Record these 8 production facts
- Material code and lot
- Printer and ink set
- RIP profile
- Print mode
- Curing or heat settings
- Print direction
- Finishing method
- Approval date and sample ID
| Check | Test piece | Pass record |
|---|---|---|
| Feeding | Printer-width strip | Straight travel, stable take-up and no head strike |
| Ink and curing | Final ink, profile and print mode | Dry surface, clean detail and no ink pooling |
| Colour | Approved reference beside print | Buyer signs the target under the venue viewing light |
| Detail | Full-size logo and legal text | Clean edges and readable text at the planned distance |
| Opacity | Final light from both sides | Two images remain separated on the signed sample |
| Dimensions | Measure before and after heat | Finished size stays inside the written tolerance |
| Finishing | Final seam, hem, pocket or keder | Continuous construction with no coating separation |
| Installation sample | One complete small panel | Material, edge and hardware fit the approved system |
Plan Sponsor Changes as Replaceable Panels
Put each sponsor or event message on a numbered panel. A modular panel map lets the venue replace one sponsor without remaking a complete fence run.
- Map every zoneRecord fence bays, railings, stands, concourses, gates and access breaks.
- Set panel IDsUse venue, zone, panel number and production date.
- Keep master dataStore material, printer, ink, profile, print mode and finishing dimensions.
- Keep a print sampleLabel one approved colour sample from the first production run.
- Output new artworkUse the stored production file and the current sponsor art.
- Compare beside oldJudge the replacement beside the retained master and an installed neighbour.
- Finish one panelMatch the panel’s exact hem, seam, pocket or keder dimensions.
- Update the mapRecord the new panel ID, material lot and installation date.
A later replacement is a new colour-control job. The stored master sample supplies a physical reference for the new print.
Store Finished Sports Graphics for Repeat Use
| Material | Storage rule | Before reuse |
|---|---|---|
| PVC banner or PVC mesh | Clean and dry the graphic. Roll it on a clean core. Do not fold it. Protect the printed face with smooth interleaf. | Inspect print, seam, hem, pocket and every attachment zone. |
| Polyester fabric | Clean and dry the graphic. Roll it for the lowest crease risk. Pack each labelled zone separately. | Test crease recovery, dimensions, sewn edges, keder and hanging points. |
| Double-sided print | Protect both printed faces from direct contact and abrasion. | Inspect both images under the venue light. |
| Graphics with removable bars | Remove the hardware. Label it by zone and panel. Store it separately. | Match every bar and fixing to the panel map. |
Retire a panel with a torn attachment zone, separated seam, damaged pocket or keder, permanent image cracking, missing identity label or failed venue inspection.
Reuse and Recycling Are Different Routes
Reuse starts with panel inspection. Recycling starts with written acceptance from a recycler that receives the exact printed construction.
- Identify substrate and ink.
- Remove metal, rope, silicone edge and rigid hardware.
- Separate PVC, PVC-free polyester and polyester fabric.
- Keep every material stream clean and dry.
- Send the full construction list to the recycler.
- Record accepted weight and destination.
Fire Documents for Indoor Sports Venues
The venue specification must name the fire test standard. Match the supplied product code to the report before printing.
Put these facts in the RFQ
- Required test standard
- Destination country
- Venue type and graphic position
- Exact product model
- Report language and date requirement
- Finished-graphic approval process
Match these identities
- Quotation model code
- Sample label
- Roll label
- TDS product name
- Fire report product name
- Purchase-order product code
An FR option on a product page does not approve every venue. The exact supplied model and named report control the document match. Use the flame-retardant display fabric guide for textile document selection.

Material Data Is Not Venue-System Approval
- UNISIGN supplies unprinted roll media, product data and samples.
- The venue engineer defines wind action, panel limits, fixing spacing and support capacity.
- The installer controls the site survey, access, hardware, attachment, installation, inspection and removal.
- The venue operator controls sightlines, exits, access, emergency equipment and event rules.
- The project specification names the required fire standard.
- Mesh GSM, mesh count and open area do not approve a fence or railing.
Stadium and Sports Venue Banner Material FAQs
What is the best material for a sports fence banner?
Start with printable PVC mesh for an outdoor perimeter fence. Use lined mesh when the printer requires backing support. Use PVC-free mesh when the procurement specification excludes PVC.
Is mesh or solid vinyl better for stadium railings?
Use mesh on open railings. Use matte frontlit PVC on solid or sheltered barriers where close-view image detail is the main requirement.
What material should I use for a double-sided stadium banner?
Use double-sided blockout PVC for solvent, eco-solvent, UV or Latex printing. Use double-sided polyester blockout for direct or transfer dye sublimation.
What material works for reusable indoor sports banners?
Start with polyester blockout fabric. Test shrinkage, opacity, hanging, crease recovery and finishing. Match the exact product code to the fire report named by the venue.
How wide are the selected rolls?
Selected products on this page list maximum widths from 3.2 m to 5 m. Use the printer’s actual printable width to plan every finished panel.
Which print methods are covered?
Selected PVC products support solvent, eco-solvent, UV and Latex printing. Selected polyester fabrics support direct and transfer dye sublimation. M1212-PF/150 PVC-free mesh is listed for UV printing.
Does mesh remove the need for wind engineering?
No. The venue engineer defines wind action, panel limits, attachment spacing and supporting-system capacity.
Does UNISIGN print or install stadium banners?
No. UNISIGN supplies unprinted material rolls. Printing, finishing, engineering and venue installation are separate services.
Is PVC-free banner material automatically recyclable?
No. Recycling requires written acceptance from a recycler that receives the exact printed substrate, coating, ink and finishing construction.
How do I keep replacement sponsor panels consistent?
Keep the material code, lot, printer, ink, RIP profile, print mode, finishing dimensions, approved colour record and one labelled printed master sample.
