Roll Width, Print Width and Finished Width

A 3.2 m machine name does not confirm that every 3.2 m roll or finished graphic will fit. Use three separate measurements:

1. Roll width

The full width of the material. Order in millimetres and confirm the width tolerance and loading clearance.

2. Usable print width

The area the printer can image in the selected setup. Side margins and edge holders may reduce it.

3. Finished width

The final size after trimming, hems, pockets or joins. Include these allowances in the artwork layout.

Size conversion: 3.2 m = 3,200 mm = 125.98 in. Treat “126 inch” as a rounded label; put the required millimetre size and tolerance on the order.

How Much Does a 3.2 m Roll Weigh?

A 3.2 m × 50 m roll contains 160 m² of material. GSM changes the weight, even when the roll width and length stay the same.

One-piece graphics

A 3.2 m nominal roll can support a one-piece layout when the artwork and finishing fit within the usable width. Check both axes if you rotate the artwork.

Joined panels

When the layout is wider, plan panel joins or another suitable roll width. Confirm overlap, join position, print alignment and the finishing method for the exact material.

Ask about any factory joins within the roll as well as joins in the finished banner. “3.2 m wide” alone does not promise a splice-free roll.

Is 3.2 m the same as 126 inches?

3.2 m is 3,200 mm, or about 125.98 inches. 126 inches is a common rounded label. Specify the required width in millimetres, plus tolerance, on the order.

Will any 3.2 m roll fit my 3.2 m printer?

Check more than the machine name. Compare maximum media width, usable print width, roll weight, core size, outer diameter, thickness, ink and take-up limits for the exact printer and loading mode.

Which 3.2 m PVC banner types does UNISIGN list?

How heavy is a 3.2 m × 50 m banner roll?

The roll area is 160 m². Nominal material weight is 44.8 kg at 280 GSM, 70.4 kg at 440 GSM, 81.6 kg at 510 GSM and 128 kg at 800 GSM. These are calculated material-only values. Add the core for loading and include packing for shipping; confirm liner weight where used.

Can I make a 3.2 m finished banner without a seam?

Only if the required artwork and finishing allowances fit within the usable print and material widths. Printer margins, trimming, hems and pockets can reduce the final usable size. Check the job layout before ordering.

What roll length and core should I order?

The six model listings show a standard 50 m length. Choose the order length after checking loaded weight, roll diameter and take-up capacity. Ask UNISIGN to confirm core inside diameter, core width, actual roll weight and packing for the selected model.

Which print inks can I use?

These six model pages list solvent, eco-solvent, UV and Latex inks. Request a sample for your exact printer and ink. Approve the RIP preset, heat or curing settings, ink adhesion, feed and take-up before a full run. Mesh also needs the correct liner or ink-collection setup.
