How the SEG Fabric Selector Works

1. Application firstBacklit fabric spreads light. Non-lit fabric needs a printable face and controlled fit. Blockout fabric hides rear light or hardware.
2. Production limitsThe selector checks the listed print route and maximum roll width before structure or stretch preferences.
3. Sample approvalEvery result includes checks for printing, heat shrinkage, sewing, silicone edge and the actual extrusion.

Important: This selector creates a first shortlist. It does not replace the current technical data sheet, model-specific FR report or a finished frame test.

SEG Fabric Selector FAQs

Which fabric should I use for a backlit SEG lightbox?

Start with SDB190, SDB270 or SDB280. Compare light diffusion, LED hotspot control, print density, heat shrinkage and final frame fit.

Which fabric should I use for a non-lit SEG frame?

DSP09 and DSP06N are practical slight-stretch starting points. DSP08-T is a separate power-stretch option when strong two-direction movement is needed.

Can blockout fabric be used in an SEG frame?

A compatible blockout fabric can be evaluated for a frontlit frame when the wall, hardware or an old graphic must be hidden. DSP-BLK-01 is the main black-back starting point in this selector. Do not use blockout fabric in a backlit lightbox.

Does the selector verify UV printing?

No. The core SEG models on this page do not have public model data that proves UV compatibility. Ask for the exact coated model, written confirmation and an adhesion, cracking, stretch and curing test.

Does an FR option mean every roll has every certificate?

No. Ask for the report naming the exact model, test method, result, laboratory, date and destination requirement. FR must be confirmed for the ordered production.

Is the first recommended model automatically the best fabric?

No. It is the closest starting match to the answers entered. Approve the printed, heat-set, sewn sample in the actual frame before bulk production.
