Recycled Polyester Sublimation Fabric

Recycled polyester sublimation fabric uses recycled PET in a fabric made for dye sublimation. Choose by three things: the recycled share, the supported print method and the documents for the selected fabric.
For sign makers, print shops and display suppliers, the roll must also fit the frame, finishing method and final use.

Recycled, Polyester, PVC-Free and GRS Mean Different Things

For coated fabric, ask whether the recycled percentage covers the finished fabric, including coating, or only the textile base. Use the same basis when comparing two offers.

A mill may be able to make a fabric with recycled yarn. Confirm the composition, print process, sample and order terms for that version.

For a certified supply option, check the exact fabric and the documents that support the claim.
A scope certificate (SC) shows a supplier’s approved scope. Check the legal name, dates, product types, sites and processes.
A transaction certificate (TC) supports specific certified products in a transaction. Match the fabric, seller, buyer and shipment details to the order.
- A yarn supplier’s certificate does not identify every finished fabric.
- A past TC supports the transaction it names.
- GRS does not replace the fabric’s print or fire-test data.

A 5-Step Print and Fit Check
- Identify the sample. Record the model, batch, composition, print side and sheet version.
- Use your print setup. Note the printer, ink, paper if used, and colour profile.
- Record the heat process. Follow the fabric and equipment guidance. Keep time, temperature and speed with the sample.
- Measure the result. Compare width and length before and after heating. Check colour, edges and surface marks.
- Fit the finished graphic. Use the planned sewing and frame. For backlit work, view it with lights on and off.
Keep the approved sample and settings for repeat work. Include any required fire-test report in the project review.
